Nasal Tip Mobility After Nasal Implant Removal
YouTube

A question we often hear from patients is whether they will be able to make a "pig nose" after nasal silicone removal .
In the past, many also asked whether it was true, as they had heard, that removing a nasal implant and the cartilage grafted to the tip
would make the nasal tip collapse or turn up.
Patients now come having heard by word of mouth that there have been no such cases among those who had surgery at our clinic,
and because we explain this thoroughly during the consultation, most patients know that there is no need for such concern.
As a result, attention has now turned to the mobility of the nasal tip.
In patients who have had surgery to place an implant in the nose, the nasal tip is naturally fixed and does not move in any direction.
Even after the nasal implant is removed, tip mobility remains limited in those who have had a septal extension graft or tip cartilage fixation.
Therefore, for patients who want the nasal tip to move freely, our clinic
combines nasal implant removal with removal of the septal extension graft and repositioning of the tip cartilages, among other steps,
to help the shape and movement of the tip return to their original state.
