Why Lisoom

Overview Non-Invasive Monopolar RF Lifting That Delivers
Only Radiofrequency (RF) Energy by Depth

XERF is a dual monopolar radiofrequency (RF) lifting device developed by Cynosure Lutronic.
It uses two frequencies, 6.78MHz and 2MHz, together: 6.78MHz heats and contracts dermal collagen, while 2MHz reaches deeper layers, allowing staged stimulation by depth.
Intelligent cooling is combined with real-time skin resistance (impedance) measurement to lower the risk of epidermal burns and adjust energy to each patient's skin.

Dual Frequency SUTURE guide image

SutureDual Frequency

Two frequencies, 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz, are used in a single device. The 6.78 MHz frequency is in the same band as Thermage and Oligio and heats dermal collagen to induce contraction and new collagen formation, while 2 MHz reaches deeper, down to the subcutaneous fat layer, allowing staged stimulation. The design makes it possible to address surface texture and deep firmness together in a single treatment.

Monopolar Radiofrequency HYBRID guide image

HybridMonopolar Radiofrequency

Monopolar radiofrequency energy acts uniformly across the entire dermis to heat and contract collagen, then induces new collagen formation over the following 4-6 months. This is the standard mechanism of RF lifting, in which an immediate contraction effect and a gradual build-up of collagen appear together. Compared with Thermage, which belongs to the same RF family, the difference is that the additional 2 MHz frequency expands the depth options.

Intelligent Cooling & Resistance Check PARTIAL guide image

PartialIntelligent Cooling & Resistance Check

An automatic cooling system that protects the epidermis is combined with an algorithm that measures skin resistance (impedance) in real time. Because energy is adjusted automatically according to each patient's skin impedance, the risk of burns is low, and the consistent output allows a stable treatment. Thanks to this safety design, the treatment can be performed with topical anesthesia alone, without IV sedation.

Large Tip Area INCISION guide image

IncisionLarge Tip Area

The tip covers a large treatment area, so energy can be delivered uniformly to a wider area in the same amount of time. Each area can be treated thoroughly without gaps, and broad areas such as the full face, jawline, and neck can be handled comfortably. That said, the distribution of intensity is adjusted at the consultation according to the area and skin condition.

OUR PRINCIPLE

Core Values
The Principles RESUM Keeps

XERF is a device that adds dual frequencies and a safety design to the standard principle of RF lifting. At RESUM, as much as the specifications of the device itself, we prioritize an approach that determines the allocation of intensity and depth according to each patient's skin thickness, pain sensitivity, and distribution of sagging.

Depth By Skin

Depth By Skin

Tailored Depth

When more dermal stimulation is needed, we give more weight to 6.78 MHz; when deep firmness needs more attention, we give more weight to 2 MHz. We consider it fundamental to stable results to decide the allocation ratio of the two frequencies after assessing the patient's skin thickness and the location of sagging. Even with the same device, a different allocation leads to a different result.

Safety First

Safety First

Safety First

Having intelligent cooling and real-time impedance checks does not mean we run the device at maximum intensity. We adjust intensity within a safe range suited to the patient's skin condition and pain sensitivity, and prioritize cumulative stability over pushing for results in 1 session. We tend to operate in a way that lowers the burden of pain and burns so that patients can begin regular care comfortably.

Honest Limits

Honest Limits

Explaining Its Reach

We tell you candidly at the consultation when sagging or deep lines have reached a stage that is difficult to address with XERF alone. When sagging at the SMAS depth needs more attention, we suggest Ultherapy; when contraction of the entire dermis is needed more, we suggest Thermage or a combined approach; and if facelift surgery is more suitable at that stage, we evaluate that option as well. Not pushing XERF on patients is how RESUM practices.

Precautions
Aftercare & Precautions

N · 01 XERF is a non-surgical option that uses 6.78MHz and 2MHz dual monopolar RF to stimulate the skin depth by depth, from the dermis to the deeper layers.
N · 02 When deep sagging or SMAS-level changes are significant, other options may be more suitable than RF alone, and we will explain this at the consultation.
N · 03 XERF treatment is not recommended during pregnancy.
N · 04 For areas with active acne or severe inflammation, we decide at the consultation whether RF can be applied.
N · 05 For 1-2 days right after treatment, temporary redness or flaking may occur, and please avoid saunas and hot compresses for 1 week.
N · 06 Taking extra care with sun protection while collagen is forming helps stabilize the result and prevent hyperpigmentation.
N · 07 Because the allocation of the two frequencies and the results can vary with your skin thickness and distribution of sagging, please consult with Dr. Jin-Young Kim, Director, before treatment.

Consider a Consultation If

05 Recommended Cases

01 Those looking into depth-specific RF because they want to refine firmness and texture while keeping volume
02 Those who are sensitive to pain and prefer an RF treatment performed mainly under topical anesthesia, without the burden of IV sedation
03 Those who want to address dermal texture and deep firmness together within a single treatment
04 Those considering dual-frequency RF after finding Thermage or Oligio alone insufficient
05 Those who want to keep a steady cycle of regular care 1-2 times a year

Doctor's Note

Thanks to its dual-frequency design, XERF is a device that can address surface texture and deep firmness together within a single treatment. However, the device does not do everything on its own; what determines the result is how the allocation of the two frequencies is adjusted to the patient's skin thickness and distribution of sagging. I believe the standard of care is to prioritize cumulative stability within a safe range rather than excessive intensity.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled the questions patients ask most often before a consultation.

XERF is a monopolar radiofrequency (RF) lifting device that uses dual frequencies of 6.78 MHz and 2 MHz. The 6.78 MHz frequency, the same band used by Thermage and Oligio, heats and contracts dermal collagen, while 2 MHz reaches deeper, down to the subcutaneous fat layer, allowing staged stimulation. It is an RF lifting option that addresses surface texture and deep firmness together within a single treatment.
Monopolar RF energy acts uniformly across the entire dermis to contract collagen immediately, then induces new collagen formation over the following 4-6 months. Thanks to the dual-frequency design, heat energy is delivered in stages: 6.78 MHz to the dermis and 2 MHz down to the subcutaneous fat layer. The key difference from Thermage, which belongs to the same RF family, is the expanded range of depth options.
Right after treatment, you may notice an immediate change from the contraction of dermal collagen, and the results of new collagen formation appear gradually from 4-6 weeks. Results build up over 2-3 months, and the timing varies with each patient's skin condition and capacity to recover.
You can return to daily activities right after treatment. Swelling or mild redness may last about 1-2 days, but in most cases it can be covered with makeup and tends to have little effect on social activities. Some patients notice an immediate improvement in skin texture.
As a normal recovery response, mild redness and slight swelling may occur for 1-2 days and settle naturally. In rare cases, temporary hyperpigmentation or itching in the treated area may occur, and thanks to intelligent cooling and impedance checks, the risk of burns tends to be low. Following the recommended care right after treatment (sun protection and avoiding irritating products) helps recovery stay stable.
The cost varies with the treatment area (full face/partial), the number of shots, the dual-frequency allocation settings, and whether it is combined with other treatments. We will inform you of the exact cost after a consultation, based on your skin condition.
