Why Lisoom

Overview Partial Lifting That Refines
Only the One Area of Concern

One-Point Ultherapy is an MFU-V (Micro-Focused Ultrasound with Visualization) ultrasound lifting treatment that concentrates the number of lines on the one or two areas where sagging is most noticeable, rather than on the entire face.
It uses the same Ultherapy device and 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm transducers as facial treatment, but the depth, intensity and line allocation are planned differently for the area that needs it, such as the jawline, nasolabial folds, eye area or the cheek below the cheekbones.

Because it is performed while viewing the tissue structure with DeepSEE real-time ultrasound imaging, an efficient approach over a smaller area than full-face treatment can be expected; results vary from person to person.

How One-Point Ultherapy Works

Jawline & Under-Chin Focus SUTURE guide image

SutureJawline & Under-Chin Focus

The jawline and the area under the chin are among the areas where SMAS laxity is most noticeable, so the proportion of 4.5 mm is increased and 3.0 mm is combined as a supplement. Treatment is performed in a range of about 150-250 lines, with the number of lines and the intensity determined by the patient's degree of sagging and distribution of subcutaneous fat. This approach is often recommended for those who find a surgical facelift too much of a commitment but whose jawline sagging has become noticeable.

Nasolabial Fold Focus HYBRID guide image

HybridNasolabial Fold Focus

Nasolabial folds often occur together with sagging of the cheek below the cheekbone, so lines are placed below the cheekbone and around the nasolabial folds using a combination of 4.5 mm and 3.0 mm. About 200 lines are commonly used, and the approach differs from filling the folds with filler. It is a treatment that addresses the sagging itself, and for deep nasolabial folds, combining it with filler is sometimes recommended.

Eye Area Focus PARTIAL guide image

PartialEye Area Focus

The area around the eyes has the thinnest skin and lies close to the eyeball, so it requires the most conservative approach. A combination of 1.5 mm and 3.0 mm with about 100 lines is commonly used, and 4.5 mm is applied conservatively and only in areas kept clear of the eyeball. The safety principle of not treating inside the orbital rim is observed.

Cheek Contour Below the Cheekbones INCISION guide image

IncisionCheek Contour Below the Cheekbones

The cheek contour below the cheekbones is an area where both the dermis and the SMAS are involved, so 3.0 mm and 4.5 mm are combined in balanced proportions. About 150-200 lines are commonly used, and the area is often treated in connection with the nasolabial folds and jawline. It is an area where results look more natural when planned in connection with adjacent areas than when treated alone.

OUR PRINCIPLE

Core Values
The Principles RESUM Keeps

One-Point treatment is not always a more efficient choice than full-face treatment. It is reasonable when sagging is limited to a specific area, but if the treated area does not connect naturally with adjacent areas, the boundary between them may stand out. At RESUM, Dr. Jin-Young Kim, Director, honestly distinguishes in a 1:1 consultation between cases where One-Point treatment is suitable and cases where it is not.

Right Indication

Right Indication

Assessing Suitability for One-Point

One-Point treatment is suitable when sagging is limited to a specific area, when a partial touch-up is needed soon after full-face treatment, or when treatment needs to be staged because of cost or time. When sagging is extensive, we explain during the consultation that full-face treatment is more favorable for a stable result.

Smart Lines

Smart Lines

Line Allocation by Area

The suitable proportion of transducers and number of lines differ by area. For the jawline, the proportion of 4.5 mm is increased; for the eye area, the proportion of 1.5 and 3.0 mm. The allocation follows academically validated depth principles for each area, and line placement is guided by DeepSEE real-time imaging.

Natural Blending

Natural Blending

Natural Transitions

We pay attention to planning the boundary lines so that a One-Point treatment does not look unnaturally disconnected from adjacent areas. Cases such as nasolabial folds becoming more noticeable after treating only the cheek below the cheekbones are assessed in advance during the consultation. Natural harmony is key to satisfaction with the result.

POINT 03 Features

One-Point Ultherapy Features

Ultrasound Energy and How It Works

Ultrasound Energy and How It Works

Ultherapy gathers focused ultrasound (MFU-V) into points at depths of 1.5, 3.0 and 4.5 mm within the skin, creating thermal coagulation points (TCPs) of about 60°C or higher. It selectively delivers thermal stimulation to the dermis and SMAS layer, inducing immediate tissue contraction along with the regeneration of new collagen and elastin, while surrounding tissue such as the epidermis is protected. One-Point treatment applies the same principle with a focus on one or two areas. Acts selectively on the dermis and SMAS layer · Forms TCPs of about 60°C or higher · Induces collagen and elastin regeneration · Lines concentrated on the one or two areas that need them

DeepSEE Real-Time Ultrasound Imaging

DeepSEE Real-Time Ultrasound Imaging

What sets Ultherapy apart is DeepSEE real-time ultrasound imaging. Because energy is delivered while directly viewing the skin layers and tissue structure during the treatment, a refined plan is possible that takes into account each area's skin thickness, SMAS location and facial nerve distribution. In One-Point treatment, the proportion of transducers and the placement of lines for each area are decided on the basis of the imaging. Real-time confirmation of tissue structure · Depth and line planning tailored to each area · Accurate energy delivery to the layer that needs it · Contributes to securing a safety margin

POINT 04 Key Points

Is One-Point Always More Efficient Than Full Face?

First, suitability depends on the distribution of sagging.

When sagging is limited to a specific area such as the jawline, nasolabial folds or eye area, One-Point treatment can be a reasonable option. If sagging is extensive, however, full-face treatment is more favorable for a stable result, so we explain honestly during the consultation whether One-Point treatment is suitable.

Second, the suitable depth and lines differ by area.

The transducer combination differs by area: for example, the proportion of 4.5 mm is increased for the jawline, and of 1.5 and 3.0 mm for the eye area. Even with the same number of lines, results can differ depending on how they are allocated and at which depth.

Third, a natural connection with adjacent areas is important.

If only one area is treated and it becomes disconnected from adjacent areas, the boundary may stand out, so the transition plan is assessed as well. In a 1:1 consultation, Dr. Jin-Young Kim, Director, places the lines with the distribution across areas and their connection in view; results vary from person to person.

NOTICE

Precautions
Aftercare & Precautions

N · 01 A stinging sensation, mild warmth or temporary redness may remain in the one or two areas treated intensively, and usually subsides within a few days.
N · 02 Localized areas where lines were concentrated may feel sore and tender when pressed; this usually fades gradually over 1-2 weeks.
N · 03 When deep lines such as the jawline or nasolabial folds are treated, swelling may be visible for a few days, so we recommend keeping important engagements off your schedule for a few days before and after the treatment.
N · 04 Collagen regeneration takes place over time, so even when one area is treated intensively, change usually appears slowly over 2-3 months.
N · 05 For about a week, avoid exposing the intensively treated area to heat and pressure, such as saunas, Korean dry saunas (jjimjilbang) and strong massage.
N · 06 Because the degree of sagging differs from area to area, a single treatment will not refine every contour to the same extent; additional treatment is discussed as we follow your progress.
N · 07 You may wash your face and apply basic skincare right after the treatment; please be more thorough than usual with moisturizing and sun protection on the treated area.

FOR WHOM

Candidates

Consider a Consultation If

04 Recommended Cases

01 Those who are particularly bothered by sagging in one or two specific areas, such as the jawline, nasolabial folds, eye area or below the cheekbones, rather than the whole face
02 Those who find full-face treatment too much and want to treat only the areas that need it
03 Those who have had full-face treatment before and want to reinforce only a specific area
04 Those who want to confirm in consultation which area takes priority and concentrate the lines there

Doctor's Note

One-Point treatment is not always a more efficient choice than full-face treatment. Depending on the patient's distribution of sagging, focusing on part of the face is reasonable in some cases and not in others. Following academically established depth principles for each area, I explain honestly in the 1:1 consultation whether One-Point treatment is suitable, and I also assess how the treated area connects with adjacent areas. I do not recommend treating only part of the face if it would leave a visible boundary.

FREQUENTLY ASKED

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions

We have compiled the questions patients ask most often before a consultation.

The device and the mechanism are the same, but the number of lines and the intensity are concentrated on one or two areas rather than the entire face. Instead of 600-800 lines for the full face, the plan uses a range of 100-250 lines, with the proportion of each depth varied by area. Because the optimal depth differs by area, results differ even with the same number of lines.
It is often applied to the jawline and under the chin, the nasolabial folds, the area around the eyes and the cheek contour below the cheekbones. The suitable proportion of transducers and number of lines differ by area, and the plan is designed during the consultation to match the patient's distribution of sagging. Safety principles are also applied differently by area.
Some change is visible right after the treatment due to immediate contraction; new collagen synthesis then builds up over 2-6 months and the result stabilizes. It follows the same collagen synthesis curve as full-face treatment. Because the point at which patients notice the change varies, we do not give a definitive timeline.
As there are no incisions, you can return to daily activities right after the treatment. Slight swelling, tightness and irritation may last for a few days, and because the treated area is smaller than with full-face treatment, recovery tends to be faster. No separate downtime is needed.
Temporary swelling, tightness, slight bruising and irritation may occur right after the treatment and settle within a few days. Because the treated area is smaller than with full-face treatment, the area in which side effects can occur also tends to be smaller, and DeepSEE real-time imaging contributes to securing a safety margin. We proceed while directly checking, in the consultation, the condition of each of the patient's areas and the zones to be avoided.
It depends on the treatment area, the number of lines and the combination of transducers used. There is no single fixed price; the cost is calculated from the plan designed for each patient's condition. It is quoted within a reasonable range compared with full-face treatment, and the exact details are explained at the consultation stage.
