The Most Common Yet Difficult Type of Revision Double Eyelid Surgery ...
This patient wished to change the double eyelid crease from an out-fold to an in-fold, while also slightly reducing the crease height.
This is the most common situation in revision double eyelid surgery: reducing the size of the double eyelid while changing an out-fold crease to an in-out or in-fold crease.
However, the conditions needed to create an in-fold crease are that
i) there must be spare skin at the inner part of the eyelid, and
ii) the patient must not have had epicanthoplasty.
In addition, the conditions for an attractive in-fold crease while reducing the size of the double eyelid are that
i) the original crease must not remain alongside the new one and form 2 creases,
ii) the crease must not be too deep, and
iii) the eyes must look open and large.

In this case, 6 months after surgery, the crease had been reduced naturally as desired and corrected to something close to an in-fold crease.
