Revision Rhinoplasty for Combined Causes, Case 15 · Implant Deviation, Tip Asymmetry
This is a case of revision rhinoplasty for combined causes. Revision rhinoplasty is often needed for more than one reason, and correcting combined causes in a single revision surgery requires precise diagnosis and surgical planning.
Causes of Revision Rhinoplasty
01 Implant not in the correct position (deviated)
04 Implant showing through thinned skin
05 Tip deformity and asymmetry (uneven nostrils)
15 Pinched-looking tip
Postoperative Course
The crooked dorsum was well aligned to the midline after surgery.
With removal of the capsule, the implant outline that had been visible on the surface disappeared, leaving a natural dorsal line.
The asymmetry and deformity of the tip and nostrils were restored to normal.
The displaced implant had produced a hump on the dorsum, and this was corrected.
The tip, which had been drooping and low, is now well projected.
